BE CAREFUL!!!!
I spent 10
days in the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe in Punta Cana Dominican Republic, together with my entire family (eleven people in total). Sadly,
we were robbed inside 2 of the 3 hotel rooms (Ipod and Blackberry included).
The worst
thing was, in first instance, the attitude of the hotel personnel. Mr. CARLOS
MOTA, Public Relations Manager, suggested that we had robbed ourselves. We had
to put up with them checking inside our underwear drawer.
Our only reward,
after our complaints, was a few “consolation prices” such as one free massage,
one dinner, and a couple of other things. We were never materially compensated,
even though hotels have insurance for this kind of things, or a formal apology
by Mr. CARLOS MOTA.
So this is
how our dreamed vacations turned into a bitter experience.
