The Land with Many Faces

Under the Sky of Inner Mongolia

China | Sunday, June 16, 2013 | 5 photos

Traveling has been running in my family’s blood since the age of my ancestor. I’m a Chinese descendant from Indonesia. And as my grandmother told me, our ancestor came from Fujian, China. The other name of Fujian uses the character ? (min) which contents two words, ? means door and ? means insect. A lot of people in China believe that Fujian people like to travel and don’t want to stay at their hometown because they don’t want to be the insect that’s trapped in their house.
But I have a bigger passion than traveling, it’s photography. My purpose of traveling is to capture the beauty of local culture and scenery. I believe every picture has a story behind it.
I just finished my Master degree in Teaching Chinese for Foreigners in Beijing, China this May. My friends always said that I was in the wrong major and I should’ve learned photography in the first place. I’ve been learning photography by myself in the last 2 years by looking up on the internet or asking advices from friends. I love nature, by that I really mean it.
I’m ready to learn something new, ready to show the world what I see through my lense, and most of all, I’m ready to bring my Photography skill to the next level.
