Hello there! Gabby Kofe is my name, or Gabby, or G-Dog (just kidding!)

The five photos I have entered were all taken on the day my younger cousin and I arrived back at my hometown, Weipa QLD Australia, to visit my family after my first ever semester of university! After I landed, we had lunch and my siblings and I decided to take a walk to see the sunset. There I took these series of photos. I hope they tell a story of happiness because I felt genuinely and completely happy at this moment in time.

I want to travel all around the world to document the wonders of different cultures and scenery because I feel like photo's have their own language that can relate to everyone all over the world - no matter what their ethnicity is, and I want to show the world their world around them. I love taking photographs because they capture the true essence of emotion and the raw image which can then be treasured forever in time. Right now I'm in University, doing a Bachelor of Science, hoping to become a veterinarian. I love animals, and I love meeting new people and new places. I take my camera anywhere and everywhere with me just in case something catches my eye.

I'd love to get this scholarship so I could gain more experience in the travel photography world and hopefully get my name out there. I'll cherish every moment I get working alongside Jason Edwards and just to see such a natural landscape and beautiful native animals of South Africa. Choosing me would not be a disappointment for you because I work hard at what I'm passionate for and I will strive to 110% every morning and night. I love my parents with all my heart and they just support me in every way, I would love to make them proud and show them what I can do.
