Jesus to World

japan 2013

Children of ladies who make jewelry from shards of ceramic broken by tsunami. My group of 4 ladies plus one Guy from an LA team watched the kids since the women could not afford day care. These ladies only make $8.00an hour with the Nozomi project. Most jobs are seasonal like shucking oysters or fish packing. This is one job where the women can work during the day while the Kids are in school and leave to pick up kids right as school gets out.
We were able to use crafts given by a friend and crafts from my church leftover from previous vacation Bible schools.
