My Scholarship entry - Through Local Eyes

I shot this when I went to Manila, Philippines for my grandmother's 75th birthday. She lives in San Andres, the neighborhood where a Bourne Legacy scene was filmed. This video is a sneak peek into a more intimate side of the streets that Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz were chased down on motorbike. I have a BA in TV Production from Emerson College and my MFA in Screenwriting from NYU. I have very strong storytelling skills. However, I want to improve my shooting skills to become an amazing visual storyteller as well. My goal is to be a kickass travel preditor (producer/editor) host. I have a thirst for knowledge and a passion for adventure. When I travel, I seek the human connection, the cultural connection, and the soulful connection. I travel to expand my horizons to get over my fears and prejudices to grow as a person. I have a blog called FreshTraveler.com that chronicles my "off the cuff adventures, off the beaten path". I love capturing a side of life that I never knew existed in its raw essence and sharing it with the world. Receiving this scholarship would mean so much to me and it would be the professional realization of a lifelong dream. Thank you so much for your time!
