Hi!

My name is Denette Kenison, I am 24 years old , and I am Currently Living and working in a remote village called Bethel Alaska, In the Kuskoquim region. My Love of travel, adventure, and Art started when I was young. At two my mother wanted to move to Alaska from Portland to be closer to our family , but we had little money, She sold flower arrangments to earn enough money to pay a freight trucker to drive us to Anchorage. When I was Twelve, my father took 3 months off from work to show me the "Lower 48" we drive a 1970's camper down the Alkan highway, and visited everything from Disney land, to Buffalo that blocked the highway on the trip Home. When I was 20, I was ready to be brave So camera and 1,500 $. I bought a ticket to Thailand, enrolled in a massage course, met amazing people, tasted exotic food, and gained breathtaking photographs. My addiction to Travel, adventure, and, photography has only worsened, I have hiked the Red Rocks of Sedona, Stood at the Edge of the Earth on Polo Lu in Big Island Hawaii, I know what it feels like to watch monks walk in the morning to temple. Ive smelled the flowers in Bali blessings line the streets of Dempasar. I saw the rainforest of Monte Verde and smiled like an 8 years old on Christmas morning. I would never trade a single moment of any one of my memories. I want to be Chosen for the Bhutan Scholorship, because Traveling and Capturing the moments that life only gives to you when you are open to it are my passion. I believe human beings feel passion for there gifts, if only we were all given the oppurtunity to embrace the fear that holds us back, we could truly live life.
