After spending an evening in Bogota, we headed to San Andres island the next morning for a night. i booked us a room at a family hostel that wasn't too far from the beach. We walked around for a little then ate at a restaurant by the water and had a Club Colombia beer each. The water was warm and turquoise so we spent about just over an hour swimming in the water. The beach was a little crowded with tourists But it was still nice to explore the town a little.
The next morning, we flew to La Providencia, a small island just next to San Andres, the main reason we wanted to go there was because we heard there was good diving spots and I wanted to do my open water course.
fortunelty, I was able to start my course on the day of arrival, it took me 4 days (half day each day) to complete the course. I choose Felipe Dive shop, which was pretty good over all.
While diving in La Providencia, we had the chance to dive with Reef Sharks, which we really enjoyed. They would come very close to us, and we're very friendly, as long as you don't touch them. It was the beginning of our adventure, so we though we would have some relaxing time by the beach after a hectic month in Canada, since we had a lot to do before moving to England and travelling.
