My year on the other side of the world

I lived in Pasco during a year. I wasn’t expecting what I discovered when I put my feet on that ground. I thought I would find trees everywhere, maybe with some rain and a lot of mountains. The only thing I guessed right was the mountains. Tri-cities (which counts Pasco, Kennewick and Richland) is barely in a desert. A nice desert thought. The Columbia River runs through those three towns bringing a sort of appeasement. This river is a real blessing because it allows people to use it as a leisure. We can walk around in the parks situated on its sides, or have fun on the river with kayaks or boats. The mountains allow some great hicks aimed beautiful points of view. When you are on the top of Badger Mountain, it's like you are the only person on Earth. During this year I got the chance to visit the area a little bit and here are the places I loved the most. The first one is Spokane. That young town is situated from 2 hours and a half on the North of Tri-cities. It is the perfect town for students because of the universities near from it and because there are a lot of different cultural activities to do. A lot of shops and malls are available and a parc is at the center of the town. The lower falls in Spokane are a must-see if you go there. Another town even more cultural is Seattle. Even if Seattle is pretty rainy, you won’t be bored one second if you go there. If you are a romantic like me, you can just walk around in the town without any goal except discovering the soul of this town. If you like to eat, there are plainly of good restaurants to go. If you are more a cultural person, the number of museums are incredible. In any case, I’d say that the 3 must-see are the obvious Space Needle, the Pike Place Market and a ferry trip. That city is pretty new plain of life. The last but not the least, my favorite place in Washington State is probably the Mount Rainier. The landscapes are magnificent. It is likely that you will see a bunch of animals like deers, fox, birds and maybe if you are a lucky one, some bears! I slept in the Lodge Paradise. That place is pretty cool for families and older people but not so much for young people. No internet, no service, no TV. Just a nice fire place and a boutique. But the vue that you have form the terrace makes you forget the rest, trust me! The hicks are more than incredible.
