My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Hey Nat Geo,
I have had a natural love of photography from a very early age. I have been lucky enough to go on a few overseas trips in the past, and have since fell in love with travel also, especially to nations with cultures significantly different then my own, also having the tendency to never complain and embrace adventure around every corner. Always snapping shots along the way i longed to set a new standard for my photographic work so spent the rest of my savings on an entry level DSLR. I could not believe the creative possibilities it has now opened up. Since then I have been working hard on improving my shots and set the goal of one day merging my loves of travel and photography together. I see this scholarship as an invaluable opportunity to meet new and interesting people as well as boosting my level of photography and above all contributing to Nat Geo and World Nomads blogs!
As a keen surfer and Windsurfer I'd like to think i'd be more then fit enough to put many long days work in, whether it be trekking, setting up or even just assisting.
Having recently left school a year early to jump into creative projects I feel I would be doing after finishing school, I see this as the perfect time to be blessed with a golden opportunity such as this!
