    And suddenly, I notice a dim light coming over from a glade in the distance. I hurry there, I step into the bright meadow and… I stare. There are two deserted bathtubs, filled with clear water, awaiting for passers-by to stop and enjoy the unexpected gift. I wash my hands, my face, my thoughts. I splash water around me like a child, I feel like I’ve found the wheel of fortune. From here I can see the peak and look, there is the path too! I take a deep breath. And I carry on. by: foreverloafer Views[172] After two hours of walking without rest, I realise I’ve lost direction. The path must have wittered a long time ago, I don’t know where I am. I look around and I can only see trees, dozens, maybe hundreds of them, like soldiers lined up in the battlefield. by: foreverloafer Views[232] The silence is overwhelming, it seems that time here has frozen into a sort of eternal spring. While looking around, my eyes find scattered bones on the side of the path. They look dry, the creature who owned them must have perished too many days ago. Frightened, I continue my journey trying to block all worries from my mind, trying to imagine the glorious peak ahead. by: foreverloafer Views[198] Getting deep into the forest, the atmosphere becomes heavy and the colours are crude, I feel like everything is breathing around me. Shady silhouettes seem to erupt from the trees and last autumn’s dead leaves trap my feet, revealing muddy grounds. by: foreverloafer Views[197] Not so long ago I went on a marvellous trip to Wales, the kingdom of untouched nature and the world’s best sultana cakes. Here is the short story of a long day in the region of Abergavenny. On a bright spring morning, when not even the icy cold could spoil one’s happiness, I decide to go for an adventure and climb the Sugar Loaf Mountain. The path is clear, the air is fresh and I start my smooth climb enjoying the clear skies above me, something rather peculiar in the British isle. by: foreverloafer Views[195]
