We’ve got cheap flight tickets to Singapore and we were so lucky due to an event called i-light Singapore was happening when we visited it. Amazing, I bet you would blinded with so many lights hang over around of you. That was what I feel!

My first international flight was in March 30th 2014, a bit nervous but it was so impressive. We have been arrived at Changi International Airport around 11 am. So many signs that everybody must obey it. Clean, almost everything done by machine. There are a lot of things can do in Changi airport while waiting for flight, transit or just want to explore it such as various themed gardens, rest area, movie theater, gym & longue, spa & lounge, playground for children, entertainment deck, powder room, even shower facilities (some of them need cost) and many things provided in 3 terminals which is you can reach one terminal to another by skytrain (free). Just click CIA for more information. Singapore is called a modern country and I have to agree about it. There are so many foreigner that has become citizen, some only got working there and several just spend their holiday at that sparkling city.

It is very easy to reach one place to another in Singapore. You can use Mass Rapid Transit(MRT), Bus, or taxi. But me, I prefer to use MRT because it is quite cheap besides it able to use the MRT card to some buses too. Only S$ 26 for 2 days and you will accept S$ 10 in return when you give back the card. You can get the card in Changi airport or visit this website for more information : http://www.thesingaporetouristpass.com.sg/ . But for me using MRT is quite fast except walking to one station to another which some of stations needs to walk far enough to get the train, you need to through the alley eventhough helped by the elevator. I have ever been read an article which said that Singaporean is conceited, they just care to themselves not to the others. But first impression what I’ve seen was different due to there were still some young people cares to the others when the old people hasn’t seat in train. They still want to shared their seat to people who needing. They still willing to be asked regarding some information.

Bugis St was the first place that we have visited, seems like traditional-modern market which is sell all of stuffs. You can get many things with pretty cheap price; for example 4 pieces wallet for S$ 10 or a cup of juice for S$ 1. That’s worth! The timing was suit with lunch time so we decides to ordered some food. I had chosen Nasi Goreng India (S$ 3) and guess what…? Jess, honestly I did not enjoy that food. the taste was cold and not good besides the yellow color there is nothing special of it.

Continue to the hostel, we found it on Hongkong st so we got off at Clarke Quey station, got out of it and just walked a little bit to the road before reached it. The service was quite nice especially the receptionist, they were helpful for more information you needed. They would give you as much as they known about Singapore. So don’t hesitate to ask them!

At the same day we continue our tour to Henderson Waves bridge one of famous icon of Singapore. You can get beautiful view in the afternoon with nice sunset over the city. You will accompanied by people who take exercises, take painting , reading or spend their time with family there. To find that place just take MRT and get off at Harbourfront station and then continue to Bus stops, you can take SBS bus with number  131. That bus will get you off at Henderson Rd shelter. After that just walk through stairs, be sure you really excited to look at the bridge more closer because it needs enough energy to reach up as it seems like you climb up onto the hill but good for your health (the man who was doing an exercise there told me).

After explore the bridge we came over Merlion Park, the most popular icon of Singapore (lion statue). Make selfie foto there as much as you can because that’s for free and everybody who visited do that!!! We were so lucky because we could enjoy the last day i-light Singapore which is held there. That city looks shining by a lot of light which created from recycling stuffs. That was so amazing! Moreover the brightly comes from Marina Bay Hotel makes something like a musical attraction which played by the lights. We only need a seat and watch the night come alive, just enjoy the rhythm of the lights. COOL! You will more surprised by glow again when you come over the Garden by the bay. The garden which made like wonder land. We spent much time to got around there before back to the Hostel at 1 am. *make sure you get the MRT before 12 o’clock in the middle of the night because you will need taxi to take you home and of course it will spend more your money than using MRT.
