Do you believe in a red wire?

GERMANY | Wednesday, 14 May 2014 | Views [196] | Scholarship Entry

I'll never forget the day when I realized I want to marry Berlin.
I wish it was possible! But let’s donate this idea to science fiction writers. We are talking about personal experience, right? Then I will describe mine.
As the majority of adult and successful men meet young pretty girls, Berlin met me with some kind of distrust. After getting to my hotel I was told my reservation had been lost. But I don’t trust superstitions!Handsome Berlin took pity on one silly Russian girl and helped me to find better accommodation- my uncle friend's empty flat in Alt-Mariendorf. I always try to notice omens, and considered it as a good one-Maria was going to live in Mariendorf. This moment was the beginning of my relationships with Berlin.
From the first sight, Berlin seemed very well-wishing to me, as its inhabitants.I will never forget that kind woman in a press shop:she couldn’t speak neither English, nor Russian, and of course nor Chinese, but she tried to help me as she only could;talking by gestures is the most effective way of international communication. But despite of the fact I can’t speak German, I have never felt lonely in Berlin.Berlin’s family was very friendly to me.
I have met a lot of interesting people there. If I had enough time, I could write a book about them and describe anything they taught me. They taught me some new words, national cuisine, told amazing stories. Then I thought Berlin has a lot of faces, but each of it is unique on its own.
I didn’t feel time, walking With Berlin In Berlin. Of course, there were some strange things to me:slow traffic lights and bicyclists-kamikaze annoyed me so much, but soon I stopped to mention it.
The last day of my being there I came to say goodbye to one of my new friends- Greek Chris. Trying to console me, he told some magic words: “I guarantee you will come back!"
Waiting for the flight to Moscow I was going to cry. In Schonefeld airport I realized I was not ready to leave my Berlin. That was the day I realized I want to marry Berlin.
The Chinese have one beautiful legend. They do believe that existence of every person in our life is not occasionally. Some people become connected with you by a red invisible wire, tied to your ankle. When you remember about the red wire, you will feel your love somewhere near.
So, I’m surrounded by pieces of Berlin, and the biggest one of it stays in my heart. If the red wire exists, we will meet soon.
