My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
USA | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 4 photos
I was 4 when I tried to take my first picture. My parents wouldn’t allow it. I sulked in an attempt to get my way. It didn’t work and they took a picture of my reaction instead. At 15 I took photography classes and bought my first Nikon SLR. I clicked away as often as I could even when there was no film in it. It was obvious my passion was photography and my ambition..to travel the world! At Uni I decided I'd use my degree to get a job in the first country on my travel list..Japan! It was so rewarding to capture her beauty on my Konica Minolta.Since then, I've travelled to over 50 countries and capturing moments has been as important as the journey itself. Last year I made a travel sacrifice and bought my first DSLR.I’d love the opportunity to learn from Jason Edwards more than anything else.He would equip me with everything I need to become the proficient photographer I know I can be. I intend to resign next year from my cabin crew job to live my dream of travelling around Latin America and Antarctica. My aspiration is to share my travel photos and experiences with a focus on landscapes and tribes. My focus now is to learn all the tools I need to successfully achieve this.Thank you.
