I grew up on the beaches of Australia where sport and physical activity was the biggest part of my life. As a volunteer Lifesaver, I competed in the sport of Surf Life Saving developing my strength and power as a Beach Sprinter. For a long time Beach Sprinting was the central focus on my life.
Alongside sprinting, I worked in Events Management at major sporting and entertainment venues in Australia. I obtained my Masters in Sports Business and Diploma in Remedial Massage.
I responded to a talent ID call out in 2005 and become part of the Australian Women's Bobsleigh team leading up to the Winter Olympics in Turin. In 2006 I was selected in the Australian Lifesaving team and competed in the World Championships in Lorne Australia.
Three years later I was sidelined when I ruptured my Achilles tendon, forcing me away from every form of physical activity. As a result of the injury my energy shifted to creativity and my photography skills began to blossom. Though photography I found inspiration in action, travel and culture.
I returned to the beach in 2010 and successfully proved to myself I could sprint again.
In 2011 left Australia and traveled through South America before landing in Canada. I live in Fernie, B.C. surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains.
My love for sport lives on in my newest venture of Roller Derby. I am Co-Captain of Fernies Roller Derby Team Avalanche City Roller Girls. I sit on the board of directors the East Kootenay Roller Derby League and manage the Marketing, Media and Events for the League.
I am inspired by life and living to its full potential.
