In the past Rijeka was occupied by many nations, such as Italian,Hungarian etc. This is the lady wearing traditional Austro-Hungarian dress from 19th century. It is a dress that has been worn by women of royal families in former Austo-Hungarian state.

This is the town called Rijeka (river). It is a town of culture, kind people and fishermen. On the picture is shown Croatian National Theater “Ivan Pl. Zajc” which is second largest in Croatia, after theater in capital city of Croatia, Zagreb.

Fishermen in harbor of Rijeka aren’t strange to see. Depending on the weather, you can always see a trawler coming back to harbour or going to the see in search for some seafood to feed family or maybe to sell it on the market nearby. Here are three men which are checking their nets on a sunny day.
