My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

These images tell a story about a section of wilderness situated about fifteen minutes from the city center of Adelaide. This area of the Mt Lofty ranges is home to diverse landscape, plant and animal life and has been affected greatly by bushfire. The regeneration of this area is incredible and I am very lucky to be able to live in a city and still have the access and the ability to immerse myself in nature. With these images I wanted to show the variation of landscape and the life that inhabits it.
At the moment I am studying photography at the University of South Australia and while I know I have learnt a great deal, I am also very much aware that I have a great deal more to learn. An opportunity such as this where I am out in the world learning from a professional with the experience that Jason Edwards has, and not just in a classroom, would be more beneficial than I could possibly know. I can't tell you how much I am hoping that I will be given the opportunity to find out.
