1. Three trucks make their weaving journey up from the bottom of the 600m deep Udachnaya ('Lucky') Pipe near the town of Mirny, Alrosa's Siberian headquarters. Each truck is bigger than two double decker buses and can carry up to 400 tons of kimberlite ore.
