This is about the journey in an unknown culture, actually I travelled nowhere but my own country, Indonesia. I always say, there's no better place than our own homes, in our own country, but I find different things. I do not recognize it, it's like out of your comfort zone.
This journey started last June, I've planned to travel across the Java Island then Bali Island. As we known, Bali is the most popular place to visit in Indonesia even world know it.
The itinerary was built as complex as the island. First of all, I'll go to the scenic scenery in Bromo National Park. I don't feel the different thing here, I feel home. I can smell it, I can hear it and see how beauty my home.
The second thing I've got was something that I've never got before. It's Baluran National Park. I see a lot of birth, deer, peacock, Javanese Bull, and others. I see a stranger, a lot of flora that I've never know, it's like on, uhmm outer space?
Got Kuta in two days later through the half of the island was such a great thing. I see different culture, other home than before. The transition of Javanese and Bali culture, but I feel home. Until then my first step to Kuta beach, I feel walk out from home, oh.. where is it? there's a culture gap and little bit culture shock. I see so much foreign tourist, I don't see me.
In the end, I find a time that there will be always culture gap or culture shock. That's why we are doing traveling now. to treat that way, to understand everything. so this is just a foolish reason to lost in our culture.
