In the past couple years I've been travelling throughout the Middle East trying to create a body of photography documenting the current conditions of the people in their living situation. After witnessing first-hand the tension that was slowly building in these Arab nations and the result of that tension, my fascination with the region has grown tremendously. My hope is that by documenting and listening to the actual voices of the people, rather than talking heads on the news, we can expose the truth on the ground and how the overwhelming disconnect between what we see in the media versus what is really happening. After my brief time in the Middle East, I've realized that the disparity between these two perspectives is a bigger problem than any amount of terrorism or veil could ever hope to be.
