My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My primary work experience is the science industry. Although it seems that I have been wearing a lab coat longer than I have been carrying my camera, my interest in photography actually started when changing ISO required a change of film. Training with a film camera meant a frugal mentality in composing each shot, in contrast to the trigger-happy complacency and mentality that comes with the "View" and "Delete" button of a digital camera. On top of being an aspiring travel photographer, I take pride in my status as a shoestring budget traveler. This apparent limitation only limits me from up-sizing my fast food meals, but it opens up a whole new adventure of getting to know people and culture and being out of my comfort zone. And that is why I should be chosen; because I do not expect knowledge through comfort. Instead, I understand that to earn knowledge is to sweat and bleed. And to take mental notes.
