My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

A short time after finding my passion for photography, I went on my annual family trip to New Zealand and I found myself going berserk with my camera. I had never had so much fun just walking around the sea side with only my camera in hand. From getting up at the crack of dawn to after dark, I was seeing potential for photographs that I had never noticed before. With the best of my new found ability I tired to capture the shot I was after, some of which turned into great photographs.

I mainly focused on the amazing landscapes throughout New Zealand whilst over on the trip, so many of my photos only consist of these landscapes however since traveling there in April 2009, I have explored many different types of photography from long exposure night time shots to sports events and portraiture. I will take up any opportunity to go out on a shoot whether it is for an entire day or even for half an hour. I have just found that I'm addicted to photography and it is now the joy of my life.

In the close future I wish to study photography or find work in the industry. I also hope to travel and capture the landscapes from all across the world so this scholarship would be the most amazing way to begin to fulfill that dream.
