I firstly approached photography at age of 16 and soon I realized it would have become my passport to the world. It became a way of living, a form of meditation, a tool that allows me a deeper connection with reality, a reason to stay eager and awake.
I'm trying to enhance my story-telling skills ans pursuing to challenge the boundaries of documentary photography, in order to engage the viewer with my perception of reality. But in doing that I wish to trigger the viewers's imagination rather than imposing my vision upon them.
Photography allows me to express my creativity, but it also gives me the possibility to highlight environmental and political issues I feel must be underlined. The defence of the natural world and the cultural diversity are key points in my life, therefore I want to live and photograph following these two principles, embracing the diversity of this world.
The dream to discover the Amazon, to approach its inhabitants is for me a concrete idea that I wish to undertake as soon as I gain more experience. The Amazon rainforest is a sacred place that must be kept clean from capitalist exploitation and I will contribute to its protection through my photography.
