São Jorge

It's named like a saint and it's a village built by men of faith. There, in that little place where the streets are all roads, and the paths are all brown from the dust and the heat - there was the piece of peace I couldn't find by myself. It is surrounded by waterfalls, this hysteric access from nature, and it has the closest sky from earth you ever see. Even the stars are glowing closer. The people from São Jorge, that tiny little place in Chapada dos Veadeiros -- one of the many hearts Brazil has -- they believe in everything. They don't have internet, all the houses are also hostels, and a backyard can also be a camping place for tourists that want to lay with the moon. It's a place to forget about things, to remember about others, and to reborn often.
