Sketching and doodling from a young age turned out to be a foundation for me in a career in Design. Constantly looking for new ways to express myself, I have been writing poetry and painting. I discovered 'photography' a few years ago when I went for a recce to help my friend for a documentary film and she requested me to do a small photo shoot for her with my point n' shoot camera. I was hooked! To tell a story through photographs was to me, poetry in visuals! I love traveling and am always looking to capture the spirit of the place and the people with my camera. What fascinates me the most is street photography to celebrate the extraordinary life of the common man. I know that if you really look, there is always a story waiting to be told. Joining Jason Edwards on a National Geographic assignment is what dreams are made up for me. Under his mentoring I would refine my skilI, unlearn to learn what it means to be professional photographer. If my photographs can shake someone out of his or her routine and step into another's shoe, inspire them with thoughts of adventure, see the world through my eyes and evoke an emotion the viewer did not know of, I think my job would be well done.
