Several years ago, I took a flight from Singapore to Australia. On the plane a steward noticed that I have an interesting accent and asked me where I was from. I replied "Kazakhstan". After this, he invited another steward and pointed at me with a laughter. However, I did not see anything funny in that. On the arrival, a custom officer asked for a passport. After seeing "Kazakhstan" on it, he also laughed. After which he asked if I knew Borat. This time I did not understand the point again. A few days after I found a Borat DVD in a video shop. Watching the movie gave a reason why the people on the way to Australia were laughing. Afterwards, wherever time I was made fun about Borat I laugh too.
