Greetings, I've been doing travel photography on my blog FlowerofLifePaths.com for over 4 years, and you can check out more of my portfolio there. I decided to start the blog because of my career in environmental research, as well as my interest in ancient temples, spiritual cultures, and arts. I have a B.Sc in Plant Sciences, from University of California, Santa Cruz. In my professional life, I have been a forester and wildlife biologist doing work in California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Oregon. I'm currently in China studying for a Masters in Nature Conservation, and my focus is on wild felid conservation and ecology in Southwest China on the border of Myanmar. I have been based in Beijing, China for the past two years, and from here I have documented my travels throughout many of the different provinces in China, as well as different countries in Southeast Asia.
I should be chosen for the scholarship with Jason Edwards because I'm passionate about doing multimedia and travel photography along with my wildlife career, and I would love to be mentored and trained in more photography skills. Peru looks absolutely incredible, and I've always wanted to go there to see the rainforest.
