New perspective

I got to travel back to Haiti after being away for more than 10 years. It allowed me to see the country through a whole new set of eyes. It was like rediscovering the country. It also helped that I got to visit places that I had never been before on the island, but to be immersed once more in the culture is an experience like no other. The food tasted exquisitely better, the stories that I got to listen to as a kid where now taking on a whole new meaning, the people's welcoming attitude made the trip so much more satisfying.
