My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
France | Thursday, July 4, 2013 | 5 photos
I seek the decisive moment. I seek lines that look like shattered glass, angles that pull the one from the many, and faces that show the heart out of body.
When I take a photo, it is because I want the instant to keep living, not frozen in a snapshot but caught in motion. To give a little extra time to something that had only a moment to live.
My photography is raw. I shoot for candids and patterns and macros with a Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS on Auto and never digitally enhance. So the photos I have for you, I hope what they show is potential. An eye for perspective and framing and people that, benefited by your tools and training, could produce something great.
For the last three years I worked nights, weekends, and holidays to build and launch spacecraft. In the years surrounding I taught scuba, competed Raas, acted for film, directed for theater, herded cattle, climbed rocks, and got dirty, sweaty, and happy on the paths most traveled by passionate people.
Now I have left my job, put everything in storage, and set out around the world with my husband and a camera. To be active and inspire action. To seek the moments that ask the world to change, and to share them.
