Wow, love the pictures. Us old folks don't quite get the blog seen so we didn't know there were pictures posted, but now will pay more attention. I was curious of why they open and close the dam? Take care you two, Uncle Dan

Hi Uncle Dan. It's funny that you commented on this picture because I couldn't remember where we were when I'd taken it... oops. I know the dam generates something like 15% of the island's electricity, so they open it a few times a day during peak electrical use times.
