I'm 20 years old, studying Journalism with the hope of moving into Photojournalism. I am never seen without my camera in my hand, even my coffee cup is shaped as a Canon Lens!

I have studied photography as well as worked as a part time second photographer for weddings, but I'm a perfectionist and always trying to learn how to make my photos better. I have been trying to figure out what to write in here for the last few weeks, to try and describe how much this trip would mean to me. But I can't, not without sounding too soppy. I want this more than anything, and you can guarantee if this isn't my year, I will be back next year, and every year after that.

I love photography because of the way it makes me view the world. I see the smaller details which make the bigger picture. When I press that shutter I love knowing that I have just preserved a fleeting moment forever.

I chose to photograph the rodeo in New Zealand as the community and atmosphere is so great! Everyone has a fantastic time, and all of the competitors are great friends primarily. My top 5 photos are some of the smaller details, fleeting moments, which I saw that day which often go unnoticed. But not this time.
