My name is Kai Chung Hsu and I come form Taiwan. I have been studying web design in San Francisco for seven months. I have been taking pictures for two years, but I never took any formal class about photography. I'm excited about this travel scholarship because I like photography very much. This is a rare opportunity to feel different cultures and learn real skills. There are three reasons why I should be chosen. First of all, I like to learn new things. Although my major is wed design, I still learning different fields by self-study. Also, I look lots of artworks from other designers and photographer to train my aesthetic feelings and creativities. Second of all, I like travel. Travel makes me feel alive and emotive. There are so many different cultures and people in the world, and I can’t wait to learn and feel them. Third, I like photography. Words are really not enough to show how I love photography. I think a successful photo is not about how much you earned from it. I believe a message or emotion you want to give is the most important part. It’s about a communication. So, I think I should be chosen because of these reasons. I wish my next trip would be Oman.
