My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Ecuador | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos
A few years ago, I remember looking at a point and shoot photo I just took, then looking at the landscape I captured. In that moment, I remember thinking “if I could do this for the rest of my life, I would be happy.”
A few years later, I found that is not all I want out of travel.
When I get home after a trip, I love showing my photos to other people. I want to amaze them and make them excited enough to go out and explore on their own!
One of my friends recently admitted she had never travelled, so I took her to the Twelve Apostles. The look of wonder on her face was amazing! I want my photography to excite people as much as “a bunch of rocks in water” excited the girl I took on her first trip.
I want to learn how to take my images further, how to add that extra depth and emotion that will inspire others, to know what I’ve been doing wrong and what more I can do to make my photos better.
Shooting around the world would be a continuous learning experience, not only photography-wise, but also culturally and emotionally. I want to experience, not just shoot. And I want to share this experience with others.
Thank you for your time!
