My Scholarship entry - Emu footprints - The wanderings of a Curious soul
Australia | Monday, November 10, 2014 | 5 photos
I am and always have been a curious girl. From announcing at an early age that I am going to live abroad and travel before i really knew what countries there were to see to leaving home at the turn of 18 to move first to America to live in the middle of Minneapolis to Kayak then continue my travel through Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and finally Australia, my spiritual home.
I identify most with the Emu; its ability to survive drastic changes and adapt through the near 80 million years it has lived in a nomadic existence in Australia is a commendable attribute. I too have evolved, changed and adapted through many stages of my nomadic life.
I would like to be chosen for this opportunity as although I have been blessed with beautiful opportunitys to travel to some wonderful parts of the world, I have done so with little knowledge on how to document my experiences for my future children to enjoy. I appreciate good photography and believe i have "an eye" for it but do not have the know how. This trip would enable me to learn and develop skills to capture the beauty of the Amazon to share with my family and loved ones.
