Best of Both Worlds

Before Trent and Sarah discovered the scholarship, Trent had an idea for a travel show called "The Best of Both Worlds." The idea was to explore both the most affluent and most impoverished areas of a region. After meeting Sarah, who is passionate about nature, the idea evolved into a different dichotomous relationship, one between nature and culture instead of one between social classes. With this concept as a foundation, Trent and Sarah used their passion for life, travel, and adventure as their inspiration to produce this video.

Sarah is a student of Ecology at the University of Colorado - Boulder. She has produced several short videos, mostly animations. Through filmmaking, she hopes to share the splendor of the natural world with all. Winning would be an opportunity for her to fulfill her goal in one of the most compelling destinations of the world.

As a journalism student, Trent has produced many films for a variety of projects. He hopes to illustrate the beautiful diversity of experience through film and to travel the world doing so. To win would mean a chance at the dream he sacrificed everything to achieve, and a stepping stone towards a life-long journey in filmmaking.
