These cages crammed with birds feels like Hong Kong to me - in its loud and beguiling mess.

As I walked through the tourist soaked flower markets, I came across this selection of pink roses in the back of veteran-looking van. I could muster little passion for the saccharine presentation of flowers in the market, and found the disposition of these roses far more tender.

I passed this bird-couple on several occasions, and each time they were fondly nuzzling against each other. They were so animate and excitedly involved in their private communication that they seemed entirely disinterested in my intrusive lens, bar one moment when the eye of the bird on the left snapped up to regard me for an instant.
