My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Fiji | Sunday, January 13, 2013 | 5 photos

I love how mesmerised people become when they see a photo that they can’t help but gaze deeply at. I have an Accounting degree and a desk job. I am living my worst nightmare. I love taking photos and I want to love my job. This scholarship would open up huge windows of opportunity for me. I love being put out of my comfort zone because it keeps me humble and grateful. My current colleagues say I was meant to be an explorer. I love inspiring people to take up new hobbies like tramping. I would be in complete awe learning from Jason Edwards. Particularly, I would watch how he interacts with his subjects. As to depict a place it is so important to capture the faces of people that are the culture you are immersed in. It is important to read about current events, but I think humans can relate easier to images. When you look at an image that draws your attention, it makes you feel with the people, you’re able to touch the beauty of the land in your imagination and you can taste the exotic fruits and spices printed on the paper. My dream is to be able to share these different senses between cultures, allowing others to understand one another.
