Bournemouth

A short flight (couple of hours) later I arrived in Bournemouth airport..got quite drilled by customs re what I was doing in England etc but eventually got through..waited a while for a bus and then only had euros but was able to get some pounds out whilst the driver kindly waited (well, picked me up on his way out)..got to the city centre and stopped to grab a quick snack before meeting Clare at the walkabout pub..so strange seeing her in England ! Caught up, even got to speak to Susan on the phone..as clare lives above the put we went up to dump my stuff..met her roommate grace and a couple of the other tenants (all of which worked in the pub and were mostly australian) then went to have a look around Bournemouth..did some food shopping then while clare went to laser tag (for a work party thing) I organised some photos in her room..at about 9 i met back up with them and we all went out for tea and had cocktails, beers and shots, which made for an entertaining night! We went back to the pub (which was closed so it was just myself and the employees there) and drank some more..I had to do initiation which involved 5 shots and some awkward questions (crazy crowd!)..I bailed early while the rest kept partying..and I was awoken in the early hours of the morning by some antics in the room, lets just say there's no privacy or secrets at walkabout :P
Woke up and helped clean the pub before it opened at 12..went for a stroll to the beach (which was a lot nicer than I was expecting) before heading back to nap the afternoon away..as clare had to work that night I went to the cinema by myself to watch the expendables 3..first loner cinema experience! Really nice just to chill though :) Went back to the pub, had to show my ID just to get the keys off clare for upstairs lol..had a beer and people watched in the bar for a bit before heading upstairs to put my earplugs in and try get some sleep (it's crazy noisy living above a busy pub!)..
As the girls hadn't finished til early morning I got up before them and went for a walk..got some stuff for breakfast and made clarey poached eggs..just chilled for the afternoon and walked around Bournemouth some more..had a look in the crazy cheap primark store and went to the tourist info centre to ask about the Jurassic coast..I made a stirfry for tea and then a group of us took some beers down to the beach to make a fire, which was really cool..just chatted a bit and had a pretty early night :)
As clare had the day off we got up semi early and headed down to the bus stop..for the first time I bit the bullet and got a ticket for an open top tourist bus :P we headed towards the Jurassic coast (oldest natural heritage site in England), which involved going on a ferry across to Swanage..we explored the beautiful town for a little while then hopped back on the bus to head further along the coast..the area was beautiful; white cliffs and open countryside..we got off in a small rural town (worth matravers) without realising that that was the last bus in or out of that town for the day! So we chilled at the pub for a bit then began our trek to the nearest bus stop which we'd been directed to..after walking along a while a kind man (named John, of course) gave us a lift to the pub..an awesome pub looking over the ancient corfe castle and countryside..we caught the bus to corfe castle and walked around a bit, the town was awesome..the buildings were so old and beautiful..we didn't pay to go in to the castle but enjoyed observing the outskirts..we went in to a church and chatted to the man that maintained it and then caught the bus back to Poole (near Bournemouth)..we finally made it back to Bournemouth and met grace (Clare's roommate) for dinner by the pier..which was really nice :) the girls had a few cocktails and some more drinks back at the pub whilst I organised my things for an early bus to London in the morning..
