WE ARRIVED INTO BORDEAUX JUST AFTER LUNCH. WE WENT TO OUR HOTEL AND COULDN'T CHECK IN UNTIL AFTER 2PM SO WE TOOK OUR PACKS TO THE NEAREST LAUNDROMAT AND DID SOME SERIOUS WASHING- 2 HOURS LATER WE HAD CLEAN AND DRY CLOTHES- SO EXCITING. THAT AFTERNOON WE WENT FOR A LOOK DOWN THE MAIN STREET AT THE SHOPS. BORDEAUX IS A REALLY PRETTY CITY DESIGNED BY THE SAME MAN WHO DESIGNED PARIS- SO THEY HAVE A VERY SIMILAR FEEL TO THEM BUT BORDEAUX IS LESS BUSY AND MORE RELAXED. FOR TEA WE WALKED THEKLEE NEARBY STREETS AND FOUND A THAI PLACE. WE WERE IN BED BY 10.30PM- WHICH WAS WIERD WE HAVNT BEEN IN BED THIS EARLY IN MONTHS. WE SLEPT IN UNTIL 11AM. IT WAS 1.30 BY THE TIME WE LEFT THE HOSTEL. WE WERE STARVING BY THEN SO WE WENT DOWN SOME BACK STREETS AND FOUND A BUSY PLACE WHICH ONCE AGAIN HAPPENED TO BE THAI. AFTER LUNCH WE WALKED BY THE RIVER THEN CAUGHT A TRAIN TO THE WINE MUSEUM. IT WAS A TINY MUSEUM FOCUSING ON THE WINE TRADE IN BORDEAUX. THOUGHT WE MIGHT HAVE LEARNT A BIT MORE ABOUT WINE- BUT OH WELL. WE GOT TO TASTE 3 WINES, A RED A WHITE AND A ROSE. THEY WERE VERY INTENSE- I COULD ONLY HVE A SIP OF THE RED WINE. FROM THE WE WENT TO THE SUPERMARKET TO BUY SOME SNACKS AS WE WERE GOING TO THE MOVIES- WE FOUND A THEATRE THAT WS PLAYING BATMAN RISES IN ENGLISH!! SO COOL, WE ALL REALLY ENJOYED THE MOVIE. THE NEXT DAY WE WERE PICKED UP BY THE BUS AT 11.30 TO TAKE US BACK TO PARIS- SO CRAZY THAT WE HAVE DONE THE THREE BUSBOUT LOOPS AND ARE BACK WHERE WE STARTED 2 MONTHS AGO!! BIT SAD TO BE LEAVING THE BUSABOUT PEOPLE BEHIND. WE GOT INTO PARIS AFTER 8PM AND THE DRIVER TOOK US FOR A DRIVE AROUND THE CITY WHILE WE LISTENED TO FRENCH MUSIC. IT WAS COOL TO SEE THE SIGHTS AT NIGHT- WHEN WE WERE HERE IN JULY IT WASN'T DARK UNTIL AFTER 10PM SO WE ONLY SAW THE FAMOUS SIGHTS IN DAYLIGHT. TODAY IS RAINING IN PARIS UNFORTUNATELY- WE WERE PLANING A PICNIC AT THE EIFFEL TOWER, HOPEFULLY IT CLEARS.
