Greetings all! After spending years dreaming and reading up on the world around me, inspiring hundreds of young people to explore it themselves in the guise of a Geography Teacher and Scout Leader, I am now embarking on a round the world trip in which I plan to visit at least 5 of the world's 7 continents! Although I may be able to blag number 6 (although I have been there before) and with great luck I may reach number 7 and get a full house... Antarctica being numero 7! So far, in my short 24 years of life, I have visited 3 of the world's continents! In one year I plan to double that number! It will be done! Armed with my geographical knowledge and techniques learnt as a Scout, as well as my ability to teach sailing, etc I plan to undertake this journey spending as little as possible... couchsurfing will hopefully encompass a large section of my travels, ensuring I make new friends around the world, as well as reducing the cost of accommodation whilst on my travels - a win-win situation! My dream is now taking shape in reality, this journal will hopefully allow me to document my trip as I go, allowing you, my vast readership, to imagine you are there alongside me, through the good times, and the bad, it will all be an experience that will open my horizons, develop me as a person, but where I, hopefully, also give back positively to those that I meet along the way!
