I am endlessly fascinated by the world around me and I can’t imagine a point in my life where I want to stop learning. Everywhere we look the most mundane of everyday objects holds strange little secrets. So many little and beautiful moments in life are missed by people going about their everyday lives. When I first started taking photographs, what amazed me was the way the camera made me stop and focus. It made me really look at my surroundings. Creating an image is more than reflecting what you see. The best photographs give you the feel of a place. Though you cannot smell or hear or touch the subject, they make you feel as though you can. They stimulate all of the senses and more: the very feel of a place at just one moment, is concentrated into a single image.
I love to learn. I love to travel and gain new insights and new experiences. More than that, I want to share them with others. I don’t just want to share where I have been and what I have done. I want to share the very essence of a place or of a person. I believe that photography can do that but I have so much more to learn. All I need is the opportunity.
