I am debating my own sanity a lot. Especially right now - I mean, I love my home, my cats, my sofa and especially my bed, an iron frame one, with brass knobs on and king size and simply my refuge. So how come I am prepared to swap that for 6 weeks in a hostel in Africa? Shared dorms, creepy crawlies, heat, vaccinations and tablets to keep the nasties at bay.... Ah, adventure, I suppose, and wanting to help and wanting to put some fetching stuff on my CV. Just another year at uni and I'll have to compete on the market for a great job in OT and as my grades won't be outstanding, this trip will be! And I am hoping to escape yet another washed-out Britis summer and broaden my horizon, hoping to meet lots of interesting and inspiring people. But then again, maybe it's just the beginning of my mid-life crisis. So what, ey?
