A 'place' I have visited

Kyrgyzstan | Friday, June 28, 2013 | 5 photos

Writing. That is what I’ve been doing for a living for ten years.I have learnt how difficult it is to be faithful to the person who tells you his story, his sufferings, his happiness. In that process, I have started to be frustrated with words.
Taking photographs. That is what I do when I am not writing. It heals my chagrins. It gives me another reason to catch the other’s eye and continue with what I love: experiencing otherness and wildness.
But telling a story with words is different than showing it with pictures. I need directions to turn into a real photojournalist – my deepest wish for now. Ten days of work with Jason would help me get a story out. I want to know what a good picture is and how you choose what to focus on.
There is another reason I would love to get this scholarship : I have been traveling a lot to Africa. I need the cold, I want ice, I dream of fjords. I would be the happiest girl to spend hours taking pictures on the glaciers and get warm in the settlements with the Inuits.
As for the basic information : I am a French girl, 37 years old, living in Paris. Love swimming and running, delicious food and sweet friends. And my passion is… photography !
