So back in KC after my stint in Maryville and Iowa at about 4.30 thismorning... ok exacly 4;30 am. I have a shuttle bus scheduled to pick me up and take me to the airport between 4.45 and 5am. It's 5.10 and I see no van, no one cas come into the terminal to find me, I have had no phonecall.
Cool.
Ring up the call centre and talk to a lovely (and when I say lovely, I actually mean terribly useless and rude) lady. She wants to tell me that they tried calling and quites a number which is not my number and also does not correspond with the number on my booking.
douche. So angrily I scour the phonebook for a taxi, gutted at how much this will cost me and finally manage to get through on my 5th or 6th go to a company who could get me a taxi "eventually". Eventually, as I was waiting outside, the friendly Griff pulls up to rescue me from KC hell. For $30 he takes me to the airport which is a $45 ride and entertains me the whole time.
Gryff reminds me about my aim for good karma on this trip: be good, do good, stay good.
If I have to return to this terrible city, I think i'd definitely need to use Gryff
