My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Elina and photography has been a passion of mine for a while now, but it’s become much more than that. It’s my escape from daily life. I take my camera wherever I go because of the endless photographic scenes. Without it, I am lost. I am currently a journalism student and hope to become a travel photographer. This scholarship is my shot at getting a glimpse into my possible future. However, being a photographer today is much harder because of technology, but that’s not going to stop me from trying. To me, photography is about creativity, finding beauty in everything, telling a story in a single frame and shedding light on strong issues. That is why I don’t edit my photos. I work hard at getting the most out of my shoot. I am very much an adventurer and have always wanted to travel the world by any means necessary. I believe I should be chosen because I am eager to learn more, I am willing to put myself out there and because of my self-taught photography skills. My learning process is simple: go out and do something. No words can describe how important this scholarship is to me. It would literally be a dream come true.
