My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Worldwide | Thursday, November 3, 2011 | 5 photos
My name is Eli Bendall, im 24 years old and I live in the Blue Mountains, NSW Australia. Ive lived my life growing up in the bush and I have great respect for all living things and the world in which I live.
My ultimate goal in life is to be able to change peoples attitudes towards the environment. To travel to less fortunate countries and educate them about better ways to use their natural resources, and show them the value of their environment. Photography is my passion, and I want to use it as a means to create real change in the world.
I have great patience when it comes to photography, i will wait by a lizard or a bird and become part of the landscape in order to get the shot i want. I see things that other people dont see, and i feel I have the vision to compose great photographs.... I would love to travel overseas to South Africa and dedicate my time to better learn this art, I feel that I have what it takes to change peoples minds, and I would love to tune my skills with a proffessional photographer.
This series of photos is about an endless story. A story that began at the dawn of time, and will continue forever into eternity. Its happening right now, anywhere on Earth. Its always repeating, and what I have to show you is a snapshot in time where I was witness to the waves. Waves that quietly crash upon the shore. Horizontal lines, different textures, and many colours give a layered effect. But its something thats always there, and completely natural.
Please consider me for this inspiring opportunity.
Kind Regards,
Eli Bendall
