She never wanted to travel. “Life is an endless journey” she would always say to anyone who was astonished to hear that that smart and educated person saying these words. Furthermore, she used to believe that the greatest journeys were only made in mind and disliked people who travel abroad to see other places just to make a small change to their boring lives, without a good knowledge of their own cultural heritage. People with no identity, following the guide’s rules could travel to the edge of the earth, see a meaningless sight and take a photo in front of it. Spineless people who preferred the safety of their hotels and returned from big journeys with no memories of smells, people, cultures and pulse of exotic cities, strengthen her believe that she would rather have an adventurous and low budget life, than a boring and expensive trip.
She never realized what happened and she took the wrong train, that shiny morning that she was about to travel to her birth town . She bought the ticket, runed upstairs to the platform and got onto the first train she saw, so sure about her choice, that she fell asleep immediately. Surprisingly, she didn’t get upset to hear the name of the final destination, when the controller of the train wake her up. She looked outside the window; a whole new world waiting to be explored, with new sounds and people to be heard, new flavors to be tested. She jumped happily off the train. It was not a usual trip, but the beginning of a new adventure.
