My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Norway | Thursday, July 4, 2013 | 5 photos
Capturing a moment while exploring the world and creating something tangible to share with others is what I believe gives me purpose. Before I started my education in photography I continuously said that “I want to travel the world to take photographs”. Even with 5 years of photography education, I don’t feel like I’m done learning nor that I am even close to knowing all that there is to know about photography. I do know however, that I am passionate about travel and documentary photography. This is what I want to do with the rest of my life. At the age of 22 I have been in over 20 countries, but I have a feeling I have just dipped my toe in the water of what the world has to offer me. If I can use my photography not only to see the world, but also show others what the world has to offer and inspire other people to explore new places, then I would feel I have done something right with my life. With the combination of my passion for photography and my eagerness to learn, I believe I am exactly what National Geographic and World Nomads is looking for. I am ready for 10 days with hard work, late nights, early mornings and invaluable experiences with Jason Edwards.
