"Do what you love-love what you do"
Hi, I'm Erica Gray. I'm a police officer by day and amateur photographer all other times.
One thing I've learnt about life - there comes a time when you realise life IS short; you must takes chances, live your passions, step outside your comfort zone and do whatever makes you happy. Photography is my passion. Photography makes me happy, pushes me out of my comfort zone, challenges me to take creative risks. I love creating memories that speak volumes from just a single image. I love finding the beauty in the objects and places I photograph and I want to capture the essence and bring this magic for everyone to experience.
Why I should be chosen? An opportunity like this is every amateur photographers dream. It's the experience of a lifetime and one that will change your life. I'm still learning but I want to learn so much more. I want to be mentored, challenged, inspired and gob smacked. You have to chase your dreams, no matter how big they are. My dream is to capture some of the most spellbinding scenes our ever amazing planet has to offer. Big dreams - yes they are, but that is also the reason why I am applying for this scholarship.
