My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Every photographer knows that creating photography is an emotional affair. From the inklings that propel us to raise our cameras, to the fire in our body that drives and moves us, we know we are not just taking pictures, we are attempting to capture beauty, memories, feelings, passions and inspirations with every image we make.

I’ve been hooked to this game since the spring of 2003, when I backpacked in Europe and carried a pocketable Canon S40 with me everywhere I went. It was my first lesson in photography, and the people, architecture, nature, all the sight and sound of all those different countries became my teacher.

This passion for travelling and photography have since then became a part of me that will never fade or disappear.

Through this scholarship program, I wish to further my education in both exploring different cultures of the world, as well as capturing the beauty in all the different places. This is a pursuit that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
