My name is Eden and about a year ago I decided to pick up a camera and enter into a world much different to the one I know. Besides learning the very basic technical knowledge and techniques of photography, I have discovered the immense joy of capturing the images I set out to take, and more importantly capturing stories of people and places I visit.

I decided to take a break from studying engineering to spend 9 months travelling around Europe and set myself the challenge of taking one photo every week that captured something of the spirit of a place or person I experienced. A visit to Bosnia & Herzegovina offered me an opportunity to capture some amazing stories. The story of Lukomir is the highlight of my collection.

I hope that I can be considered for this scholarship with Jason to explore and capture the stories of the people in Oman. With this unique opportunity I intend to improve the way I think about capturing images, knowledge and techniques, and get an insight into the world of professional photography. I have no doubt that this experience will inspire me to continue pursuing my newfound passion in capturing and sharing amazing stories of people and places.
